    NCDSB will partner with Niagara Region Public health and train Specialist High Skills Major Students at Saint Paul Catholic High School to deliver the You're the Chef Program to elementary students within the family of schools. High School students will become YTC leaders and share their knowledge oce a week after school with elementary students ages 10 to 14 who will learn to prepare healthy, tasty recipes following Canada's Food Guide. This is an expansion and enhancement of the existing YTC Program.

    Niagara College plans to continue restoration of the Wetland Ridge lagoons on the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus through shoreline development and enhancement. The project will involve reducing the current slope of the shoreline and introducing native flora to the area. This will provide habitat for a large percentage of flora and fauna year round while improving water quality. The result will be increased species diversity and abundance contributing to thriving wetland ecosystem.

  • Niagara College - 2014 environmental

    Increase Cordage, Ontario Road, and Dain City neighbourhood residents' environmental awareness and technical skill in tree planting by engaging Niagara College students and neighbourhood residents to collaborate in tree planting in Southeast Welland for the 2014 Arbor Day.

    Permanently install the bomb shelter/studio of the late William Kurelek in the gallery to enhance the present Kurelek collection which is the largest for this Canadian artist.

    Purchase 2 picnic tables to provide art campers, parents and seniors taking art classes and camps at the gallery a place to sit outside in comfort.

    The funds requested will be used to upgrade and replace aging equipment in the Children's Museum. Including 2 laptops for the student CSI program, and hand-on manipulative for the pulleys & gears and structures and mechanisms school programs. Students from all over the Niagara Region will benefit from the new materials. Need was determined through the wearing out through overuse of existing materials. This program is unique to the Region.

  • Niagara Falls Art Gallery - 2012 Mini - Oct

    Fund CPR training for 9 staff who work with the 80,000 plus visitors to the Niagara Falls Art Gallery.

  • Niagara Falls Art Gallery - 2013 Community Grant

    As a result of a recent Trillium grant to develop a Digital Art Lab, we are requesting $2400 to purchase 8 digital cameras to facilitate programming in the lab, including photoshop, animation and clay animation. Addtionally, support the upgrade of the lighting in the lab to be energy efficient.

  • Niagara Foundation for Family and Children's Services - 2016 Community - Spring

    Saturday visitation program for families open to protection or supervised access. Parents meet their children in the FACS office and are supervised by FACS worker. With work and school schedules weekday supervised visits are becoming difficult. This is a new weekend program responding to the increasing scheduling challenges.

    Lids for Kids awareness campaign for children's mental health will coincide with Children's Mental health week in the province of Ontario. Beginning on Sunday May 1 and culminating on Friday, May 6, friend in the Niagara region will wear their hat with a Lids for Kids button to increase awareness, decrease stigma, and raise much-needed funds.

Grant will support furnishings and entertainment game.

    Pathstone is becoming a Trauma-Informed Agency, recognizing the severe and pervasive impact trauma has on families and grant will support the third crucial step to train professional mental health therapists.
